چکیده

Aim: This study was aimed to investigate the levels of antioxidant markers (paraoxonase, superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, and thiol) oxidative stress (advanced oxidation protein products, xanthin oxidase, nitric oxide, malondialdehyde, 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine) in pregnant women with chronic hepatitis B C. Material Method: Sixty last trimester, 20 whom had B, another C, remaining were healthy controls, enrolled this study. Demographic, clinical laboratory data recorded for all patients. Results: When compared C displayed significantly lower paraoxonase, thiol (p<0.001). Superoxide dismutase also patients, comparison yet difference statistically insignificant (p=0.76). Compared patients higher advanced xanthine oxidase The oxide than those control group (p<0.05). No significant observed between controls malondialdehyde 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine (p>0.05). Conclusion: Oxidative increased chronically infected viruses, when women. Thus, we suggest that viruses should be closely monitored throughout pregnancy diseases induced by oxidant-antioxidant imbalance, such as preeclampsia, gestational diabetes hypertension.

[Oxidative stress in patients with chronic hepatitis B].

BACKGROUND To study oxidative stress in patients with chronic hepatitis B. METHODS Malondialdehyde (MDA), total anti-oxidative ability and ascorbic acid were measured as markers of oxidative stress in 30 patients with chronic hepatitis B, besides HBV DNA and ALT. RESULTS MDA was significantly higher in patients with hepatitis B than the controls (P less than 0.05). Ascorbic acid was signifi...

Evaluation of miR-101 Level in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis B Virus Infection and Liver Cirrhosis

ABSTRACT        Background and Objective: MiRNAs are small RNAs that are expressed in most eukaryotes, and can regulate gene expression by attaching to the 3’ end of target mRNA. MicroRNA-101 (miR-101) post-transcriptional regulation is important for host-virus interactions. In addition, miR-101 has a tumor suppressive role in liver cancer and metastasis, an...

CHARACTERISTICS AND PREVALENCE OF OCCULT HEPATITIS B VIRUS INFECTION IN PATIENTS WITH HEPATITIS C IN IRAN

ABSTRACT Background: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in patients who lack detectable hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) is called occult hepatitis B infection. Such infections have been frequently identified in patients with chronic hepatitis Cliver disease, but their prevalence is not known. Methods: 207 patients with chronic hepatitis C who were HCV -RNA and antiHCV positive were stu...

Antioxidant supplementation attenuates oxidative stress in chronic hepatitis C patients.

UNLABELLED Reactive oxygen species (ROS) overgeneration is involved in the pathogenesis of hepatitis C. The aim of this study was to evaluate the antioxidant status in the blood of HCV infected patients treated or not with standard therapy before and after supplementation of vitamins E, C and zinc. Biomarkers of oxidative stress were evaluated in the blood of three groups of patients: group 1 -...
